In terms of new additions Omen Darkly was a great character to bring in. It’s a little darker than the earlier books and the characters are dealing with some large issues but it’s still true to the slightly sassy tone that made the books so popular.

Ten books is a lot of content to fill, would this be suitably ‘new’ enough to keep me interested? Would it be as I remembered? Stay tuned to find out! So these books have a happy little place in my heart and when I got the opportunity to read book ten I was cautiously excited. Fun story! The first Skulduggery Pleasant book actually came out when I was about twelve? I read it as part of a judging panel for the Hampshire book award when I was in school and the main thing I can remember about the whole experience was the orange spray on the pages coming off on my fingers and me wiping it on my friend’s face.
